Top 5 Summer Workshops for Adults
Picture to Portrait
with Cassie
Tuesday, July 9th • 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Paint a 2D rendering of any subject you choose, with a focus on color, line work, and color mixing. At the end of the workshop, each participant will take home an acrylic painting on canvas.
Floral Heart Embroidery
with Sidney
Tuesdays, July 16th - July 23rd • 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Students will learn four different embroidery stitches to create a floral heart, using colors of your choosing. After the two-week course you will leave with a fun pattern for a future embroidery project, along with your completed floral heart!
Portrait Drawing
with Tony
Thursdays, July 18th - Aug 1st • 5:30 - 7:30 pm
Learn the fundamental drawing techniques and skills to start building your confidence in drawing the world around you. In this class we will specifically be focusing on learning how to draw realism using the charcoal and graphite medium. Tony, will teach you the basics to proportionally draw eyes, mouths, noses and faces.
Landscape Painting

Friday, August 9th - Sunday, August 11th • 9 am - 4 pm
In this three-day workshop students will learn the fundamentals for location landscape painting while painting from direct observation, outdoors in the greater Madison area. Students will focus on concepts composition in Landscape painting, color harmony, the observation of light in the landscape, the simplification of landscape subject matter, and the principles of atmospheric perspective.
Watercolor Techniques: The Bokeh Effect

Tuesdays, Aug. 20th & Aug. 27th • 6:00 - 8:00 pm
In this 2 week workshop, you will learn how to paint a bokeh effect using watercolors. This workshop is for beginners as well as intermediate watercolor artists. The aster flowers are printed on your watercolor paper so we can focus on the painting.
