Music Instructor Spotlight: Effaeye Aawenyn

Monroe Street Arts Center

As part of our music instructor spotlight series, we would like to introduce Fiddle and Violin instructor Effaeye Aawenyn.

Fiddle Instructor, Effaeye Aawenyn on stage playing

With an impressive career spanning over two decades, Effaeye's credentials speak for themselves. She has studied dance and choreography at Boston Ballet, Bates Dance Festival, and Bearnstow. Her experience and training in dance have given her a unique perspective on musical performance, which she expertly applies to her instruction.

Effaeye's career as a musician began in 2001 when she started playing at weddings and events. Her talent quickly caught the attention of many, and she soon became a seasoned stage concert performer. Her skills as a musician have also allowed her to compose, perform, and produce four albums under her name and the usernames @FIDDLEDANCEMUSIC and @Effaeye.

Effaeye's passion for teaching has led her to become an instructor at Maine Fiddle Camp, UW-Madison Summer Music Clinic, and now Monroe Street Arts Center. Her extensive experience in both performing and teaching has given her valuable insights into the art of playing the fiddle and violin.

Reach out to us today to schedule a meet and greet with Effaeye, providing insight into her teaching style.
