After a remarkable 10 years at Monroe Street Arts Center, Ken Stancer is bidding farewell as he embarks on his well-deserved retirement. It's time to celebrate and honor Ken's dedication and impact on the community as he moves on to new adventures.
Since June 2014, Ken has been an integral part of MSAC, teaching piano with the renowned Suzuki philosophy. His commitment and passion for music education have left an indelible mark on the students he has mentored. Ken's influence has extended far beyond the music studio, making a lasting impression on the hearts and minds of those he has taught.
While Ken's departure from MSAC marks the end of an era, it's important to note that this isn't a complete goodbye. Even in retirement, Ken's musical talents will continue to resonate in the community. He remains the music director and organist at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Madison, ensuring that his passion for music remains a vibrant part of his life and our community.
In addition to his expertise on the piano and organ, Ken is also a skilled player of the Celtic harp. His dedication to sharing the joy of music extends beyond traditional venues, as he occasionally plays at assisted living facilities in the Madison area, bringing comfort and joy to those residents.
Ken is also an avid gardener. This retirement will allow him to continue working and focusing on his area elementary school's garden, where he has been instrumental in creating a vibrant and educational outdoor space for the students.
Congratulations, Ken, on your retirement! Your dedication and passion have significantly impacted all of us at MSAC and the wider community. We are truly grateful for everything you have done and wish you the very best in this new chapter of your life. Thank you for everything!
