Music Together is a community of families sharing songs, instrument play, rhythm chants, and movement activities in a relaxed, playful, non performance-oriented setting. Music is learned at a developmentally appropriate level and respects the learning styles of young children (even babies!). Parents and caregivers contribute to the enrichment of their child’s music environment–regardless of their own musical abilities.
Music Together & Rhythm Kids classes are taught by Afton Parker, Abby Nichols or Reem Totonchi. . Each family receives Music Together CDs, digital downloads, and a songbook. See class schedule and cost below.
This is the essential Music Together class, one that a child can attend from birth to age five through all nine song collections. This basic class follows the recommendations of child development researchers—grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning. Younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, or exploring musical instruments. Any caregivers—parents, grandparents, nanny—can bring the children. The whole family is welcome for this important family music experience.

Rhythm Kids is an exciting music, movement, and drumming class that follows through on Music Together’s vision to help children complete the pathway of early childhood music development. Students will continue their music education through the school of Music Together!

*Make-up classes are to be during one of the available classes listed, and cannot be carried over into another session. While regular class attendance is important, the orientation of the Music Together program extends the class experience into the child’s life outside of the class by means of parent education and supporting materials, such as the recordings and songbooks. Tuition includes these items and consequently is not “wasted” even if the classes are missed. We are unable to prorate fees for missed Music Together classes. We understand that missing a class may be inevitable. With several classes at their capacity, we now have a list of available classes that has room for make-ups. No need to call, just drop into one of the classes listed, and let the teacher know when you arrive that your family is attending a make-up class.

Payment is required at the time of registration. If you need to withdraw from a class or camp for any reason, refunds are permitted, less a $15 administrative fee up to two weeks prior to the start date. No refunds on cancellations with less than two weeks notice, instead you will receive a credit on account for 50% of the original fee of the class. If MSAC cancels a class or camp for any reason, you will receive a credit for the full amount of the class, or a refund upon request.
