Fall is Here-What are your Art Plans?

Are you Ready for Fall?
….Because I am not sure that I am! It was a wonderful but VERY fast summer. It seems to whiz by every year, but am I the only one that thinks it was extra fast this time?

Our Art Camps had more kids than ever come through our doors. We were busy making new art projects, new friends and learning new techniques! We met so many new students and families-Just when you think you know them all, some new and awesome families come through our door!

Fall Semester is Underway
We are well into the fall semester, and art and music registrations are coming in steadily! For the Art Department, we have some new art classes we are offering.

Our most different class is Exploratory Art for very young children (0-3 1/2). This class is an art class unlike any other we offer. I wanted to give the youngest of artists a platform to come into my art room and explore the different textures, colors and mediums of art. The focus of this class is the process rather than the product. It is so great to watch all these little tiny artists find so much joy in the different textures and colors!

Last week we made soft sculptures, and the week before we simply explored the color orange. This class has been so fun so far and I can’t wait to see what we do next!

Bye, Miss Abby!
As many of you may already know, we said goodbye to a very important asset to the art program at the end of this summer. Abby Tindal moved back to her hometown of Hartland, WI to pursue her photography business. We wish her luck and success!

I can say without a doubt that Abby was integral in the recent success of the art program at MSAC. Students and employees alike were touched by her generosity, insight and way with people daily. We are very lucky to have our lives touched by Miss. Abby. She left an impression on the students that knew and loved her.

Whatever she continues to do, she will be great!
