After moving to Madison in 2014, Kallie worked with several local non-profit and private groups focusing on positive youth initiatives before joining MSAC in May of 2017. She is an AmeriCorps Alumni of 2014-15, a community volunteer, youth worker, and an avid crocheter. Kallie is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Sociology, with a focus in youth and family studies. She also holds certificates in Early Childhood Education from The Registry.
“I started playing band instruments in 5th grade, and was fortunate enough to take private music lessons at an organization similar to MSAC. I think that’s why I feel such a connection to the arts center and the work we are doing here. Music and the arts hold such an important place in my heart, and I am happy to share that love with others!”
Working with youth and families has been a passion of hers since college and she hopes to continue to support families at the Monroe Street Arts Center and to further build relationships within the community.
