Homeschool Art: General Study, Ages 6 and up, Tuesdays, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Tap into your creative energy and develop your artistic skills through a variety of media and approaches. Learn about prominent artists and art movements throughout history and from around the world. Each 90 minute class will focus on practicing techniques based on important works of art and art styles, which provide the groundwork for artistic growth and understanding.
Homeschool Art: Monthly Theme.Ages 6 and up. NEW TIME! Mondays, 12:30-2:00 PM
Each month, take an extensive look at a different form of art. Study a type of media, its applications to art making and the artists who use it. In this class you will be encouraged to discuss and experiment with new materials.
September: Painting & Mixed Media
Explore types of 2D mediums through artists and examples. Use that inspiration to create your own masterpieces! Work with watercolor, acrylic paint, collage, and more to produce unique outcomes.
October: Clay Creations
Learn all about clay and hand-building techniques, including slab-building, coil building, pinch and hand-sculpting. We will use a variety of clay to create several works of art.
Learn the fundamentals of drawing! Students will learn methods and techniques to improve their drawing skills, including proportion, perspective, shading, and more.
December: Fiber Arts
Discover the world of paper, yarn, felt and more in this class. Learn skills in book making, sewing, weaving, and fabric piecing while we explore new ways to create art
Interested in a serious structured homeschool art class for your middle or high school student? We offer a semester-long, intensive two hour art class twice a month which provides students with art techniques and knowledge they build upon throughout the semester. Students engage in class works, complete sketchbook assignments, and submit a final art project at the end of each semester. Instructor permission needed to enter the class.
