Join us for some art-making fun after school! Each month, learn about a different style of art and create several pieces to take home. Work on independent and group projects, practice a variety of techniques, and have fun in the process! Art lessons vary by age group. Sign-up for one month, or register for the whole semester.
There are many different forms of printmaking! Discover some traditional and
unconventional ways to make art through printmaking.
February: Clay Creations
Learn all about clay and hand-building techniques, including slab-building, coil building, pinch and hand-sculpting. We’ll use a variety of clay to create several works of art.
March: Painting & Mixed Media
Explore types of 2D mediums through artists and examples. Work with watercolor,
acrylic paint, collage, and more to produce unique outcomes.
April: Fiber Arts
Discover the world of paper, yarn, felt and more in this class. Learn skills in book making, sewing, weaving, and fabric piecing while we explore new ways to create art.
Learn the fundamentals of drawing! Students will learn methods and techniques to improve their drawing skills, including proportion, perspective, shading, and more.
Payment is full at the time of registration. If you need to withdraw from a class or camp for any reason, refunds are permitted, less a $15 administrative fee up to two weeks prior to the start date. No refunds on cancellations with less than two weeks notice, instead you will receive a credit on account for 50% of the original fee of the class. If MSAC cancels a class or camp for any reason, you will receive a credit for the full amount of the class, or a refund upon request.
