Mission:
Monroe Street Arts Center engages a community of learners in exploring the arts and developing the creative self.

Status: Non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status; donations are tax deductible.

Offering: Instruction in music–piano, violin, viola, cello, voice, guitar, harmonica, trumpet, and bass–and art, including drawing, painting, photography, and print-making

Serving: More than 330 private music students and more than 500 art students

Volunteers: Community volunteers plus interns from Edgewood College

Scholarships: Financial assistance is available for families in need. Donations to MSAC’s scholarship fund, Claire’s Scholarship Fund, are always welcome and appreciated (and are tax-deductible).

Fundraising Events: Claire Aubrey Roberts Scholarship Fund Event; Arty Gras, MSAC’s annual art auction fundraiser for MSAC student scholarships; and the annual Playathon for private music student scholarships

Affiliations: ArtsWisconsin, Monroe Street Merchant’s Association, Music Together

Location: MSAC is located in Madison’s near west side in the dynamic Dudgeon-Monroe neighborhood on bus routes 3, 19, and 58; ample parking is available in the lot next to our building.
